I'm a computer person living in Fukuoka, Japan. In 2025 I quit my job with no concrete plans for the second time in my career (the first time was when I moved to Japan). I am trying to re-focus my time in a way I enjoy that is both more impactful, and that contributes to society in a positive way.

A community-maintained English-language resource covering all aspects of long-term residence and retirement in Japan.

Mergery

A GitHub app that merges pull requests once the CI checks have passed. Released in May 2020. GitHub later developed a similar feature themselves, although there have been requests to make the GitHub behaviour similar to Mergery since then. Merges around 100 PRs a day.
